CAT 2016 – As CAT 2016 will be conducted on 04^th December, 2016 by IIM-Bangalore, candidates have very less time to complete the entire syllabus. Number of candidates are in dilemma, how to prepare for CAT 2016 exam. Even some of them didn’t prepare time table or strategy. This is ‘Do or Die’ situation for CAT 2016 aspirant who didn’t start preparation.

First of all know all about CAT 2016 Syllabus and CAT 2016 Exam Pattern which will help to crack Common Admission Test (CAT).

CAT 2016 Syllabus: As per syllabus defined by IIM-Bangalore, there is no change ion CAT syllabus. Syllabus of CAT 2016 will remains the same as last year which consists of three sections namely Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning (DI & LR), Quantitative Ability (QA) and Verbal and Reading Comprehension  (VA & RC). Candidates have to complete each section within one hour. As per question types defined, there will be MCQs and Non-MCQs in CAT 2016 exam.

CAT 2016 Exam Pattern: As per exam pattern of CAT 2016, exam will be conducted in approx. 135 centres in an online mode. No candidate will be allowed to access keyboard. Test takes can only use mouse to select the option for both MCQs and Non-MCQs.

What are the good ways to prepare for CAT within 2 months?

If candidates have approx. 2 months or less than of that, you must read following points:

Time Table: Don’t forget to make time table. Make time daily basis time table. Choose one subject and complete within few days.

Notes: Don’t make notes only for exam day. Read your notes after completion of topic.

Revision: Revise again and again. Since you have approx. two months to crack CAT 2016, you have no time to revise all the topics at once. Candidates are suggested to revise topic just after the completion.

No Social Media: Try to avoid access social media sites like Facebook, whatapps etc. Use these sites just for study purpose. Even you can join some groups on Facebook.

Mock Test: Solve mock tests atleast once in a week. This is best to know your performance. Candidates are advised to keep last 3 weeks for mock test.

What should be my approach and CAT percentile to get into IIMs?

Approach to get admission in IIM: If candidates want to get admission in IIM then they have to qualify all the rounds – written test, GD-IP round. Genuinely, it is not an easy task to crack CAT with good percentile. Candidates have to be serious because good IIMs accept more than 90 percent.
